SCOUTS gathered at Eskdale Park near Napier on Saturday to participate in Scouting New Zealand National Mud Slide Day. It was wet, dirty and a lot of fun for all involved.

The Mud Slide Day commemorated Founder's Day, which falls in the week of Scouting's founder Lord Baden-Powell's birthday, and there were several similar events throughout the country.

The Scouting movement in New Zealand is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
