$200,000 Napier windfall claimed

The one-fifth prize from Lotto's million-dollar Division One sold in Napier last weekend has been claimed.

The $200,000 winning ticket was bought at Andrew Spence Pharmacy, which over the past decade has become one of the country's luckiest outlets.

A New Zealand Lotteries spokesman said the ticket had been cashed in last Sunday. However, the paperwork had reached Lotto officials only yesterday.

That reinforced what Mr Spence believed had happened when he was spoken to on Monday.

"I think they went to one of the supermarkets to cash it in as we are not open on Sundays."

He had heard the win had gone to locals, although he was not sure if they were regular customers of his.

New Zealand Lotteries was unable to provide details about the winner.
