A giant African safari scene has appeared in a Hastings paddock of maize.

The super-sized animals, visible from the air, make up a confusing network of paths which may baffle seasoned maze-goers.

"The 2013 theme could only be something related to Africa after we were fortunate to take a trip to Kenya in July," says maze owner Cal Huddleston.

"Early indications are that it's our most complicated maze pattern yet." A Maze 'n' Fun, in Longlands Rd, opened for summer yesterday.
