A spring in Bay house sales
Spring has sprung for the Hawke's Bay housing market, with the median October price up from $196,100 to $217,000.
However the rally was on lower turnover. Real Estate Institute of New Zealand figures list 239 houses sold last month, compared to 277 in September and 404 in October last year.
The median sale price was $172,750 in September as well as for October last year.
Nationally, the median price was a new record at $252,500. Medians increased in Auckland, Waikato/Bay of Plenty/Gisborne, Wellington and Canterbury/Westland.
