Accident at expressway blackspot diverts traffic
Traffic is being diverted past the Meeanee over bridge near Taradale after an early morning collision between a truck and trailor unit and a Hilux utility vehicle.
The accident occurred about 7.50am, and police are still on scene carrying out investigations.
Three men were taken to Hawke's Bay Hospital by ambulance with moderate injuries -- two from the truck and one from the ute.
It is believed another vehicle was involved, but did not sustain any damage and the driver did not suffer any injuries.
