Bargains galore at Lions book sale
The Hastings Host Lions is holding its 25th annual Book Sale this month, reaching a milestone of fundraising for Lions projects within the Hawke's Bay community.
The annual Book Sale is a "must do" for book lovers and collectors, including first edition books, with "bargains for everyone". All profits go back into the community, with hundreds of thousands of dollars donated since the event's inception.
Past projects include Weka Point Restoration and a $50,000 commitment to the redevelopment of Ronald McDonald House in Wellington - used by hundreds of Hawke's Bay families each year.
The sale will be held at the Hawke's Bay Showgrounds in Hastings this Saturday from 8am to 4pm, and Sunday from 9am to 1pm.
