The annual St Columba's BBQ Fair on Saturday will feature 30 stalls "bulging at the seams" and a BBQ lunch with a signature hamburger on the menu, convenor Ross Lange says.

Preparations were continuing for the event, which kicks off at 10am at St Columba's Church and Havelock North Domain.

"We're very much looking forward to Saturday, and there's going to be lots for the families and kids to do on the domain," he said. "We've got more toys this year than we've ever had and we've got more books than we've ever had."

Other attractions include rides, clowns, face painting, a BBQ, and an auction, beginning at 10.30am, for those seeking a bargain.
