Hawke's Bay athlete Lisa Osborne celebrated her return to the national athletics championship scene with a bronze medal.
Osborne, 27, won her bronze in the senior women's 400m at the recent Dunedin-hosted nationals with a new best time of 57.17sec.
She returned to athletics last year after a break and her bronze was her first individual medal at this level in 10 years. Her last was a silver in the under-18 200m.
Osborne was one of seven Hastings Athletics Club members to return home with medals.
Ben Harrison won silver in the senior men's pole vault with a personal best effort of 4.05m.
Emma Sutherland won bronze in the senior women's high jump with a personal best jump of 1.77m, which she was ecstatic with.
Matt Taylor won bronze in the under-16 boys 2000m steeplechase in a time of 6min 23sec.
Liam Murphy won silver in the under-16 boys javelin while Emma Blake and Monica Burnard won bronzes in their respective under-18 girls 200m and under-16 girls 2000m steeplechase.
The Hastings seven were among 15 Hawke's Bay-Gisborne athletes in action at the championships.
