Council youth survey aimed at finding issues

A survey being carried out by the Hastings Youth Council aims to identify issues facing young people in Hastings today as well as their aspirations for the future of the city.

The survey targets 10 to 24-year-olds and looks at a range of areas, including transport, alcohol, drugs, health and safety.

It also focuses on improving youth-friendly facilities, such as Splash Planet, skate parks, swimming pools and libraries. The council will conduct the youth survey in public places and schools.

There is also an online version at: www.hastingsdc.govt.nz/youthsurvey.

All those who fill out the survey and provide an email address go into a draw to win an iPod Nano or a $50 voucher from The Warehouse.
