The alleged driver of a vehicle which crashed in Waipukurau last year putting all four occupants in hospital has appeared in court.
Menassah Fraser, 19, did not enter a plea to three charges of aggravated careless driving causing injury.
Emergency services at the scene of the Racecourse Rd crash in October described the carnage at the scene as some of the worst they had witnessed.
Fraser appeared briefly in the dock in Waipukurau District Court sporting a bandage across her right eye, believed to be related to injuries she received in the crash.
Waipukurau Police were still making inquiries into another vehicle believed to have been racing with the car Fraser was in.
