Crop Food site sold
The former Crop & Food Crown Research Institute buildings on Lawn Rd in Clive have been sold.
Crop & Food is negotiating with the new owner to lease back some of the 10ha of land. T
he property had been used for research since 1972. From 1972-1992, it was used by MAF. From 1992-98, it was operated by HortResearch before being used by Crop & Food.
The main building includes a reception area, board room, library, many offices and labs. Also included is more than 500sq m of shedding and 280sq m of covered yards. The new owner has not been named.
