It was my birthday yesterday and myself and other members of my family met up for tea at my sisters house. We had a nice meal and pleasant company followed by birthday cake. Without either my knowledge or consent and before we had even begun to eat the cake, photos of me blowing out the candles were posted on Face Book for all the world to see. Try as I might to recall seeing these photos being taken, I can't. I certainly did not give my permission for them to be posted on the internet. (In fact there was no discussion about this at all. They just went ahead and posted them) If it was anyone other than family who had taken done this the 'you know what would have hit the fan" but all I can do is to make sure that everyone knows to get my permission in future or if that doesn't work I will not attend any more family get togethers. I feel very strongly about this and am very upset that it happened. Am i the only one who dislikes this invasion of my privacy or are there others who share my dislike of Face Book?
