Scott Grahame Guy, 31, a dairy farmer who was found dead in a driveway near Feilding.
The family of slain Manawatu farmer Scott is still confident his killer will be found.
It is two months today since Mr Guy was gunned down in the driveway of his home near Feilding as he was on his way to milking early on July 8 and so far the killer has not been traced.
But Mr Guy's father, Bryan Guy, said yesterday he was confident that the killer would be brought to trial, The Manawatu Standard reported.
Scott Guy's pregnant widow, Kyee, has been staying in Hawke's Bay with her mother and son Hunter, two, since her husband's death and has indicated she may never return to the family home in Aorangi Road.
She is due to have Scott Guy's second child in about two weeks, and Mr Guy said he planned to travel to Hawke's Bay with his wife Joanne to attend the birth of his grandson.
Police investigations have been hampered by the lack of witnesses, early-morning timeframe and remote location.
The only leads they have publicly revealed were the theft of three chocolate brown labrador puppies from the property, and two unidentified cars seen in the area on the morning of the shooting.
Investigation head Detective Inspector Sue Schwalger said police were determined to find Mr Guy's killer.
``A number of leads are being pursued with enough information and inquiries [are] keeping a large team fully focussed,'' she said.
