Fruitful visit all round
Trade Minister Tim Groser (left) and Tukituki MP Craig Foss last week looked at Phil Allison's Havelock North orchard as part of a visit to inspect Plant & Food's innovative apple and pear breeding programme, founded by the late Don McKenzie.
Mr Allison's Rockit apple is a product of the programme and is delivered to customers in tubes.
This year's Rockit harvest is due in shops next week.
