Hawke's Bay schools win milk cash

Two Hawke's Bay residents and the schools of their choice have come out tops in the Great Anchor Milk Run, sharing a $10,000 prize.

Bay women Michelle O'Sullivan and Kirsty White won $2500 each, and nominated Lindisfarne and Waipukurau Primary School for the same amounts respectively. Lindisfarne will use the money for sports equipment and Kindle e-book reading devices for the library, while Waipukarau's will go towards new playground equipment.

Every day for 84 days, Anchor is giving away $2500 to a lucky winner and $2500 to the school of the winner's choice. The Great Anchor Milk Run runs until June 26 and is giving consumers the chance to win their share of over $500,000 cash for them and their nominated school by simply purchasing any specially marked 1L, 2L or 3L bottle of Anchor milk.

The Great Anchor Milk Run will wrap up with the ultimate prize draw where one lucky New Zealander and their nominated school will each win $50,000.
