HB's Stewart takes title

Hawke's Bay kickboxer Francis Stewart won the Thai Boxing Association's North Island welterweight title in Palmerston North at the weekend.

Stewart beat Wellingtonian Andrew McGrath with a first round kick knockout. Stewart's Zero Tolerance teammate, Amy Vaughan, a former swimmer and surf lifesaver, won her fight against Alice Jarmen of Wellington.

This weekend, Zero Tolerance fighters Luke Leadbetter and Ian Menzies will compete in the finals of the F1 Challenge in Auckland. On December 10, several fighters will be in action at their annual Excessive Force Show to be staged in Napier's Rodney Green Centennial Events Centre.
