The 18-year-old farm worker injured in an accident on a Dannevirke dairy farm on Sunday afternoon, is well and back home.

The worker was airlifted to Palmerston North Hospital by the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter late Sunday afternoon from a farm on Umutaoroa Rd east of Dannevirke, but after being checked by medical staff was discharged and returned home, farm co-owner Gillian Borlase said.

"He was driving a tractor, towing a silage wagon which tipped over and although the tractor didn't tip, our worker was thrown around a bit," she said. "But he's home now safe and well."
