It's a galloping start for season's racing
Blue skies greeted the racegoers in Hastings on Saturday for the first day of Rush Munro's Spring Racing Carnival.
The $200,000 Makfi Challenge Stakes Premier Race Day was the first of three events at the carnival - the first Group One race of the season.
he second day is the Windsor Park Plate Premier Race Day on September 22, followed by the New Zealand Bloodstock Insurance Spring Classic on October 6.
