Lotto Powerball jackpots to $28 million

Lotto Powerball has jackpotted to a record-equalling $28 million.

``Last October, a Papakura man won $28.7 million with Lotto and Powerball combined, but if sales are strong next week, a player could go down in history as potentially being the biggest Lotto Powerball winner ever,'' NZ Lotteries' chief executive Todd McLeay said.

Last night four people won a $250,000 share of the first division with the winning tickets sold at Pak n Save Te Awamutu, Winton New World, Pak N Save Petone, and Lotto `N' Things in Oamaru
