Motorsport: Central riders win club trophy

Central Hawke's Bay Motorcycle Club and Hawke's Bay Motorcycle Club members competed in the Hawke's Bay Motocross Interclub Challenge over three weekends.

The first round was held at Tony Kittows' property in Central Hawke's Bay, the second was at Steve Wild's and the third at Scheele's property in Elsthorpe.

Riders competed under their club banner and points were accumulated towards an overall club winner, as well as individual class placings.

The Central club won the Senior Trophy, competed for since 1995, and the Hawke's Bay club won the junior one.

The Central club has claimed senior bragging rights 16 times out of 18.
