Nation's top horse show begins

Spectator entry is free for any horse lovers keen to catch some of the 2013 New Zealand National Horse and Pony Show in Hastings.

The country's top showing event, now in its 15th year, got under way yesterday and will run until Sunday at the Hawke's Bay Showgrounds, with the final day earmarked for most of the major national awards.

Competition runs from 9am into the early evening each day. The entrance is via Gate C on Elwood Rd.
