Your favourite newspaper Hawke's Bay Today is about to become even better.
From February 25 next year, the Monday to Friday editions of Hawke's Bay Today will convert to a compact format.
The new-look smaller paper will be convenient and easy-to-read and follows a worldwide newspaper trend of offering readers something new and exciting. Our sister newspaper, the New Zealand Herald, successfully changed to compact in September.
Our Saturday paper, Hawke's Bay Today Weekend, will remain a broadsheet, but exciting changes are planned there as well.
In March this year Hawke's Bay Today successfully converted from afternoon delivery to a morning newspaper. The feedback from that move has been positive and, being a morning newspaper, has enabled us to set the local news agenda daily.
The time is right once again to take another bold step. International research shows that readers prefer the smaller size and the thicker newspaper means you will still be getting your money's worth.
The paper will look and feel different. Right now we have a team of designers and journalists working on this project.
We are looking at everything from our masthead to our content and the end product will be fresh and exciting.
All the things you love about Hawke's Bay Today will remain. You will still recognise it as your paper, but it will be bolder and more modern.
We will still give you all the local news, opinion and sport you want, but we will have even more local opinion and insightful journalism.
We will tell you what is happening in your region and communities, as well as explaining why it is happening and how it affects you.
We have begun a process of consulting our readers, advertisers and staff to make sure that we produce the best possible newspapers.
We want to know what you want to see in your new-look Hawke's Bay Today. Please email us at email@example.com with your thoughts.-->-->
