Piping up on national day
The popular Drones and Sticks Pipe Band will be tuning up and playing their part in this Sunday's Waitangi Day celebrations in Napier.
The band puts on an annual community concert to celebrate the national day and this year will be staging it at Anderson Park near the children's playground from 4pm. A band spokesman said there would be no charge and people were invited to take along some chairs and snacks - but no alcohol. A raffle was also being held.
