Hastings police are still seeking information that may help them solve an attack in which a female fast-food worker was punched and held at knifepoint on Thursday.

Detective Constable Hamish Urquhart said the worker suffered bruising and "was left very shaken and upset" after the attack, which occurred about 4.15pm at the Kiwi St Takeaways on Kiwi St, Camberley. Police have been unable to find the offender and believe he ran off through Camberley School, then into Kirkpatrick Park.

The male attacker is described as Maori, late teens or early 20s, of tall, skinny build, with longish hair.

Police would like to speak with anyone who may have information about the attack and who may have seen a person fitting the description of the offender in the Kiwi St area on Thursday afternoon.

Any information contact DC Urquhart, at Hastings police, on 8730554.

Information can also be left anonymously on Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
