Serious assault in Napier's sunken gardens
Police are investigating a serious assault in Napier's sunken gardens last night.
A 54 old Hawke's Bay man was admitted to hospital last night with head injuries.
Police say he was found by a member of public lying in grassed area near the sunken gardens at about 10:15pm.
CIB said the injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
A detailed scene examination is underway.
