Severe weather warning for Hawke's Bay
MetService has issued a severe weather warning for Hawke's Bay with severe gales expected on Saturday.
Northwest gales are expected in many areas with severe gale gusts of 130km/hr possible in north Canterbury and eastern Marlborough from this evening, about the outer Marlborough Sounds, Wellington and Wairarapa from overnight.
The gales are expected to reach exposed parts of inland Hawkes Bay and Gisborne through Saturday from about 3am to 8pm.
