Sleepy streets come alive after dark
Fairy lights sparkle and decorations adorn houses and gardens in Napier, Hastings and Havelock North this festive season.
The 13th annual Tremains Christmas Lights, which runs throughout December, proves a popular pastime for locals looking to get in the Christmas spirit.
Once daylight fades and the lights turn on, a magical streetscape appears, with homes, buildings, gardens, letterboxes, trees and vehicles elaborately decorated for the public to enjoy.
Tremains supports the event, which continues to grow, with more entries and sell-out double-decker bus tours around the dazzling venues.
