Third drink-driving conviction for restaurant manager
A Napier restaurant manager has admitted drink-driving after being caught more than three times the legal limit.
John Scott Ferguson, 46, appeared in the Napier District Court this week, where he pleaded guilty to drink-driving. He is the owner and manager of Ormlie Lodge in Taradale, Napier.
Ferguson was caught driving with a breath-alcohol reading of 1214 micrograms of alcohol per litre of breath on January 8. The legal limit is 400mcg.
It was his third drink-driving conviction.
He was remanded for sentencing on March 28.
