Top-level police visit to Hawke's Bay

Police Commissioner Howard Broad is in Hawke's Bay for a two-day visit to stations and staff.

Mr Broad will call at the Napier and Hastings stations, as well as getting a close-up look at community policing, of which he is a champion.

Today, he is scheduled to visit Maraenui Park to take in the fun and furious sport of touch - as played by the pupils of Maraenui schools.

The touch tournament had been organised by the Maraenui police section as part of their approach to community policing.
