Walk this way for taste of Hawke's Bay's wine

A Hawke's Bay wine executive is sharing the fruits of her labour by inviting connoisseurs into the Gimblett Gravels wineries for guided walking tours.

Hawke's Bay Winegrowers Association executive officer Lyn Bevin has created the scheme and said the idea may be the first of its kind in New Zealand.

She said walkers would be able to chose between standard walks, or include a picnic or winery lunch option. The tours are in conjunction with Walk Hawke's Bay, and details of other wineries on the route were being finalised.

Walks can consist of between four and 12 people, escorted by a guide, and of course enjoying some wine tasting on the way.
