What's not to like about i-Site competition?

Simply hitting the "like" response on Napier i-Site's Facebook page could end up with the "liker" and a couple of dozen of their friends and family being put on a train for a spin through their neighbourhood and around the city.

"Fill a carriage with your family and friends" is a competition sparked by i-Site, Geon and the Hawke's Bay Express to coincide with the Geon Art Deco Weekend which kicks off on Thursday.

Napier i-Site manager Carolyn Neville said the competition was being staged not only to highlight its Facebook site, but also to encourage locals to promote Art Deco Weekend to friends and family living elsewhere.

"Every Napier household is about to receive a postcard from the Art Deco Napier merchandise range promoting the competition, but also encouraging locals to send the card on to a friend inviting them to come to Napier for Art Deco weekend," she said.

The competition will run until Friday at www.facebook.com/Napier.

Owner/operator of the Hawke's Bay Express, Will van Ash, said he was delighted to work in with Napier i-SITE.

"Two lucky winners will be drawn from the competition and each will be able to invite up to 25 of their friends to fill each of the two carriages for a special one hour ride on the express," Mr van Asch said.

"The winner can choose a special spot along the ride to have photos taken. It could be outside their house, work or a place that is memorable to them."

The Hawke's Bay Express has become a popular part of the city's Art Deco landscape since being rolled out last October.
