State Highway 2 is the busy stretch for roadworks in Hawke's Bay with 10 sites being worked on between Hastings and Wairoa.

The major work, involving repairs as a result of slips and resealing, is taking place around the Mohaka Hill, Putorino and Devil's Elbow.

Speed restrictions and single lanes affect the five sites in those areas, with traffic delays up to five minutes expected.

Work is also being done on urban stretches of SH2, along Hyderabad and Pandora roads.

The New Zealand Land Transport Agency has advised that a resealing project is planned for the George's Drive and Kennedy Rd intersection, although the starting date for the work has not yet been set.

On SH5, maintenance work on the Mohaka Bridge is continuing, with traffic reduced to a single lane.

Single lanes are also operating on stretches of the highway between Esk Valley and the Mohaka Bridge, where drainage work is being done.

Three projects are in progress on SH38, the major job being watermain installations at Frasertown. Delays of up to 10 minutes can be expected.
