Hawke's Bay Magpies winger Zac Guildford's All Blacks recall gave the province's rugby fans a double dose of celebration ammunition this morning.
News of Guildford's starting berth in the squad to play Fiji in Dunedin on Friday night came nine hours after the Magpies had recorded their first win of the ITM Cup season, 29-18 against Southland at Napier's McLean Park. Guildford's selection was an appropriate reward for some outstanding Super Rugby form with the Crusaders.
The four-test All Black hasn't played at international level since the June 26 test against Wales last year.
He was dropped for the Tri Nations and also missed the end-of-season tour of Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.
