Fomai only Marist rep:

Hastings Rugby and Sports forward Tivaini Fomai is the sole Hawke's Bay player in the New Zealand Marist team to play in the 96-team Fiji Marist International Sevens tournament on March 5-6. Former Hastings and Napier Pirate forward Alex Tulou, who now plays for Marist St Pats in Wellington, is also in the team.

Sceats on track:

Hawke's Bay's United States-based athlete Rochelle Sceats ran an NCAA provisional qualifier in the 5000m during the weekend's Collegiate Invitational at the Armory Track and Field Centre in New York. Sceats finished third in 16min 37.66sec.
